Presentación
Considered as one of the future promises of conducting, Daniel Ros is one of the most active young conductors on the national scene. In 2021 he won the AESDO Special Prize at the 1st International Orchestra Conducting Competition ‘Llíria, City of Music’, recognised as the best young conductor by the Spanish Association of Orchestra Conductors. In 2023 he won Second Prize in the II International Orchestra Conducting Competition ‘Llíria, City of Music’, recognised as the second best young conductor in the world.
He has trained with great maestros such as José Miguel Rodilla, Cristóbal Soler, Miguel Ángel Gómez-Martínez, Atso Almila, Antony Hermus, Jurjen Hempel, Karel Deseure, Karel Mark Chichon and Johannes Wildner, among others. |

He currently resides in Rotterdam, where he is completing the Master of Music in Orchestra Conducting at Codarts, University of the Arts of Rotterdam, under the tutelage of Hans Leenders and Sander Teepen. In addition, he has undertaken his own project in the Netherlands with the Stichting Harmonix (Harmonix Foundation), where he combines his position as President with that of Artistic and Principal Conductor of the Harmonix Orchestra (HXO). He is also the principal conductor of the Leiden Sinfonietta. At the same time, he attends to national and international engagements.
He has received several awards and recognitions both in the field of conducting and composition. We can highlight the scholarship as a trainee conductor that the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM) and the National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE) granted him to attend his first meeting of 2019 in Zaragoza, being selected to conduct the JONDE in concert in the prestigious Mozart Hall of the city's auditorium.
He has also worked with the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Región de Murcia, ADDA-Simfònica, Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, Orquesta de Córdoba, Berliner Symphoniker, Berlin Sinfonietta, Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica CullerArts, Orquesta de Jóvenes de la Región de Murcia and the Joven Orquesta Sinfónica de la FSMCV, among others.
In Spain, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Orchestra Conductors (AESDO).
